Studies are supported by visits to and from Employers to help enrich your learning and also to prepare you for the world of work.
It is always good to have employer engagement in your learning as this helps you to understand what you are learning not only from your teachers but also from professionals from that field.
You are also supported with finding and securing relevant work placements to support your learning and also your university or job applications.
We work with a variety of Employers from Price Waterhouse Coopers through to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital who join us for the day to help us with ‘practice interviews’.
Students are also offered the opportunity to shadow an industry professional for one to two days and to see what it is like to be ‘in their shoes’, observe what decisions they make, and how they work with others, how they organise their day and prioritise their work load. This may involve attending meetings, conferences or site visits.
These are excellent and exciting opportunities for you to do something really different. It will be a time to use your initiative, improve your independence and help you to make decisions about your future.
